چکیده
Mudeungsan (Mount Mudeung) is an extinct volcano located in the southwestern part of South Korea that was formed Late Cretaceous period. This mountain, 1187 m above sea level, adjacent to Gwangju Metropolitan City, which has a large population (about 1.4 million) and volcanic rocks, including columnar joints, form various types outcrops. Although this mountain listed as national geopark 2014 UNESCO Global Geopark 2018, much basic research yet be carried out. In particular, there are no mineralogical studies rock samples despite well-preserved variety rocks. For study, X-ray diffraction analysis conducted using from joints known tuff. We report rocks mostly dacite, mainly composed quartz, plagioclase, sanidine through Rietveld quantitative analysis. α-cristobalite, crystalline polymorph silica, appears joint indicating experienced explosive eruption during formation mountain.

Performance Evaluation of Diagnostic X-Ray Equipment Regarding the Hospital Size in the Republic of Korea
Introduction: The Republic of Korea has developed a national standard based on which diagnostic X-ray equipment must be tested every 3 years. Accordingly, the performance of X-ray equipment used in all hospitals is evaluated by national certification bodies in compliance with the safety management regulations for X-ray equipment. However, if the equipment i...
متن کاملSr–fresnoite determined from synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data
The fresnoite-type compound Sr2TiO(Si2O7), distrontium oxidotitanium disilicate, has been prepared by high-temperature solid-state synthesis. The results of a Rietveld refinement study, based on high-resolution synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data, show that the title compound crystallizes in the space group P4bm and adopts the structure of other fresnoite-type mineral samples with general...
متن کاملClarithromycin form I determined by synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction.
The structure of the metastable form I polymorph of the macrolide antibiotic clarithromycin, C(38)H(69)NO(13), was determined by a powder diffraction method using synchrotron radiation. The space group of form I is P2(1)2(1)2. The initial model was determined by a molecular replacement method using the structure of clarithromycin form 0 as a search model, and the final structure was obtained th...
متن کاملQuantitative Rietveld analysis of CAC clinker phases using synchrotron radiation
The quantitative Rietveld analyses of twenty samples of CAC from four different manufacturers over the world, one synthetic mixture and a NIST standard were performed using synchrotron radiation. As compared with conventional XRD, synchrotron powder diffraction permitted to find new minor phases, improve the characterization of solid solutions of iron rich CAC phases and reduce preferential ori...
